Gyles & Joanna: Celebrate Winnie-the-Pooh

Gyles & Joanna: Celebrate Winnie-the-Pooh

About the show

A celebration of A.A. Milne and Winnie-the-Pooh with Gyles Brandreth & Joanna Lumley

To mark the centenary of Winnie-the-Pooh, A.A. Milne’s biographer Gyles Brandreth (who knew the real Christopher Robin) and beloved actress, presenter, and Pooh superfan Joanna Lumley come together for a special charity matinee celebrating the world of Winnie-the-Pooh and the extraordinary life of his creator.

With special guest, Oscar-winning actor Jim Broadbent, and cabaret star Stefan Bednarczyk at the piano, this joyful event features poems, songs, and stories from Milne’s four classic children’s books, alongside remarkable insights into the life of the man behind the bear.

Join Gyles, Joanna, Jim, and Stefan as they explore Milne’s creative beginnings, the enduring appeal of Pooh’s gentle philosophy - first shared with the world at Christmas 1925 - and the poignant, complex story of three generations of the Milne family, who experienced both the blessings and burdens of fame.

Premium, Band A and Band B tickets will includea signed copy of Somewhere, A Boy and A Bear, Gyles’s moving new biography of A.A. Milne and Christopher Robin – a deeply personal, revealing, and beautifully told story of friendship, childhood, and the power of imagination.

All profits from the event will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
